This is a quite excellent example of a Louis Philippe styled sleigh bed in a rich cherry colour. The secret to achieving elegance in this style of wooden bed is to have exaggerated curves in the foot end of the bed and to have deep side rails which also curve down towards the centre. The side rails on this bed also benefit from the shaping along the bottom which is a continuation from the head and foot ends. The bed is made from solid pine and hand finished to ensure that the quality is perfect, but also means that every bed produced is just a little bit unique.
