Buka furniture is made in Indonesia using only sustainable hardwoods. All wood is 100% kiln dried ensuring strength and longevity. The furniture is coloured with wood stain and then a wax polish is used to give a resistant and natural finish. Buka's furniture is constructed using solid Mindi Wood for the frame and legs (A tropical hardwood known as vietnamese Oak-similar to American Oak- Dense and open grained). For larger surfaces Buka use solid wood sections covered in a durable and attractive veneer (Also known as Teak Block). This type of construction ensures there will be no movement on the surface of the wood, usually it is this movement that causes cracks and warping in furniture.
